In early June, Julie & Steven informed us that 685 of the 3,000 IDP’s took shelter in two churches in their home state.  We sent some funds for their effort, but it was such a small thing – the need is so great.  Julie sent the following note and pictures after returning from the trip.

Dear Don,

I'm sending to you the report of the Relief work  done  Assisting IDPs at Paletwah Town. Paletwah Town is 9 hours travel by Airplane + by Bus + by boat and finally we get to the Town. There is No internet access becoz it's war zone. We got to meet with IDPs around 685 at 2 Churches. On Saturday we meet with all adults and encouraged them by God's Word under the topic of  ( If God is a loving God, or Almighty God, why there is sufferings in the World). A few of them are unbelievers but they are well treated. They response very well and strengthens by the Word deeply. The Rice sacks and blankets were wisely distributed by the Relief work Committee. The next day, we visit the IDPs students at EMC church and distributed School materials. I got to encouraged them by the Word ( The life of Joseph and God's faithfulness ).

Their lives is always threaten by the shooting sounds of AA Rakhine National Army and Myanmar National Army who are shooting each other most of the time. Uncountable innocent Paletwah Chin people were killed, kidnap for porters, raped and never sent them back home, put bombs and mines in their farm and rice fields.  Recently, 118 School teachers run away from work because of the civil war. There are so many children that have no future because their School are closed. Many Christian pastors were killed by AA army. Our visit means so much to them. They are so thankful for the support (32 rice sacks, 100 blankets and school materials for 100students) that given by AWM.

There are so many villagers that still stuck in the jungle on the way to safe zone. Their lives is full with Questions???. And it's our pleasure to get involve delivering the support given by AWM for our fellow Christians friends in Paletwah. Thank you very much for sharing the Crowns with us.
