Dear Friends,

I received an email from Steven & Julie, this morning, telling me that the police showed up at Naing Oo’s trial and were allowed to testify.  Thus, the judge apparently extended their window for testifying, so Naing did not testify and is still in limbo. The next trial is scheduled for February 18th, but I have no idea of what it will involve.

I apologize for repeatedly requesting your prayers for something that looks inevitable, but does not come to pass.  On the bright side, it is giving our prayers more time to accumulate before the Lord.  I often think of the scene in heaven in Revelation 8:3-4, and I am encouraged that our prayers are truly ascending before the throne of God.

“Another angel came and stood at the altar, holding a golden censer; and much incense was given to him, so that he might add it to the prayers of all the saints on the golden altar which was before the throne. And the smoke of the incense, with the prayers of the saints, went up before God out of the angel’s hand.”

I’ve appended Julie & Steven’s note below.  They also said that Naing’s sister finally told him about his mother passing away.  In their words, “the sad news is too much for him to bear,” so please pray for God’s peace for him in that regard.  Notice that Naing sends his thanks to you, “the prayer warriors in the States,” so he is depending on you.

Also in the note, Steven encouraged him “with the story of Julie.” He’s referring to the time that Julie was imprisoned on false charges (I believe it was in the 2001-2002 timeframe), but was able to start a women’s Bible study in the prison and led 45 ladies to Christ.  In reality, prison can be very fertile ground for the gospel.

Thanks again for keeping Naing in your prayers.  I will update you when something significant happens.

Your brother in Christ,

Don

Letter from Julie & Steven

Hi Don,

Today is Naing Oo's trial day and we went to visit with him since it been a while we didn't got see him. One Police came to the court today and was able to interviewed. Only one more left from the police side. The next trial day will be on Feb 18, 2019. After they finish interview all the police side, they will be starting interview 3 person who will speak for Naing Oo like his senior pastor, his sister and may be Steven?? not yet sure.

Naing Oo' sister has told him a bout his Mom has pass a way and that sad news is too much for him to bear. But he said that " It's only because of the power of Christ and by the power of prayer warrior in the State he can over come this situation, he keeps on saying God may have a purpose for sending me here. He said thank you for all the families and friends that praying for him." Steven encouraged him with the story of Julie which strengthen him a lots and give him hope for his life. He has been distributing the tracts that we sent to his fellow P.friends.

We thank God that he is healthier and stronger than we expected. I think that's all for now!

With much Love!

Steven & Julie
