The Need
Myanmar is a tormented land, plagued by a raging civil war, camps filled with Internally Displaced Peoples (IDP’s), earthquakes, typhoons, flooding, and hunger. – the magnitude of the need and suffering of the Myanmar people is overwhelming. Many mission organizations have withdrawn their aid-work because of the dangerous conditions of war, but Ancient Words and their team of dedicated nationals continue to provided life-sustaining food, water, water purifiers, shelter, and Bibles to these hurting people.
Our team of Myanmar nationals boldly and enthusiastically brings relief supplies along with the gospel message of God’s love and forgiveness through His Son, Jesus Christ.
The Gospel Message
But there’s more! Our relief-work methodology is to enlist local pastors, some of whom are former students of Ancient Words classes, to help distribute the relief supplies and follow up with those who have come to Faith in Christ, continuing to shepherd them through their local churches that are near the IDP camps. It’s a beautiful thing – a full circle of equipping the local church leaders with an understanding of God’s Word, and then giving them and their churches the opportunity to minister to others.
